I came up with the idea for this painting thanks to my Egyptologist friend, who absolutely adores the Egyptian goddess of law and order with a feather on her head, Maat. Here I made Maat an ancient amazon, resting at the bottom of the ocean. I don't know whether she is a statue or a flesh-and-blood woman. The symbols accompanying it develop the ideology of the painting, the djed column is a symbol of durability, and the Ouroboros snake embodies repetitive cycles forming eternity. Everything was flooded by the waters of the Praocean Nun, from which the world emerged at the moment of creation. For me it is Atlantis because it sort of represents the mythical order that existed at the very beginning. All this, combined with the cool, bluish colors, has a calming effect. An ideal image to calm frayed nerves and regain balance.
