This is my first painting from the Egyptian Cycle and it is the only one that went outside Wrocław - it was included in the post-competition exhibition at BWA in Bydgoszcz in 2022 (Leon Wyczółkowski Competition). It depicts the goddess Hathor in the form of a cow, emerging from behind the Western Mountain. This popular motif depicted her as the goddess of cemeteries and protector of the dead. However, the branch with figs at the bottom refers to its other incarnation - the Sycamore Fig Tree. Hathor was sometimes depicted on a tree, knocking down figs for the dead to eat. Everything takes place in a mountain scenery, where the plans are arranged in layers, a bit like in Egyptian paintings. I was inspired by the rainbow mountains to paint the surroundings, so the painting is exceptionally colorful, but at the same time harmonious in color thanks to the use, generally, of warm shades mainly juxtaposed with cooler greenery. I still can't stop looking at Hathor in the form of a cow, while painting her I realized how beautiful animals cows are :) The painting is joyful, it will liven up the interior, but at the same time it will introduce a bit of nostalgia. Its depth lies in the fact that behind the charming surface there is a story about transparency.
