The motifs present in this painting were taken from one of the main theologies of ancient Egypt - Hermopolitan Cosmology. So here we have the god Amun, his incarnation - the snake Kematef, and the volcano, which is a symbolic representation of the Isle of Flames, the place where, according to the priests of Hermopolis, the world was created. The colors are based on complementary colors, i.e. blue (blue shades associate Amon with the sky) and orange. These contrasts emphasize each other, and the whole thing shines thanks to the varnish layer. The colors are quite calm, but there is a calm before the storm here, as the volcano bursts with flames and vivid colors.
